District Definitions
[edit]I'm proposing some district definitions to help organize our work. I've included a map which is not meant for an article, but as a quick attempt to visualize the districts. Currently there are articles for 5 districts in East Atlanta:
- Current Organization
- Virginia-Highland
- Little Five Points
- Poncey-Highland
- East Atlanta Village
- Inman Park
I think we can reduce that to 3 reasonable districts. Little Five Points refers to an intersections, and the neighborhoods of Poncey-Highlands and Inman Park surround it more or less. I think we can roll all those areas into one district, since the smaller neighborhoods don't really warrant distinct articles for travelers. Also, since Little Five Points is the most well known name of the three, I'm proposing calling that district Little Five Points (as reflected in the map).
Proposed Change
- 1. Virginia-Highland
- 2. Little Five Points (includes Poncey-Highland & Inman Park)
- 3. East Atlanta Village
Borders
- 1. Virginia-Highlands
- N: 85
- E: Fulton County Boundary
- S: Ponce De Leon
- W: Midtown Border (Piedmont Ave NE & Monroe Dr NE & Park Dr NE & Ponce De Leon Pl NE)
- 2. Little Five Points
- 3. East Atlanta Village
- N: Memorial
- E: Candler Rd
- S: Glenwood, Fayetteville, Eastland
- W: Moreland
