Split?

[edit]

This district seems to have accumulated quite a few listings. And while it is not a badly drawn boundary per se, it is clear that there are internal boundaries within this district along which it might be split. Should this be done? And if so, how? Should we then use a "borough" model like for NYC or simply replace the existing district with several smaller ones? Hobbitschuster (talk) 14:09, 24 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

What's keeping this district from Guide status? Hobbitschuster (talk) 14:10, 24 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Wedding and Gesundbrunnen

[edit]

So you might notice that the two Northwesternmost areas of this district are not exactly "East". They used to be part of the gargantuan Berlin/North district (now Berlin/Spandau and Reinickendorf) before I moved them here, but I welcome other proposals in which district they might fit. Together they form the pre 2001 district of Wedding and Wedding is often known for its originally "red", proletarian social structure and later for its high share of immigrants. In this it does fit in together well with Kreuzberg, but maybe not geographically... Hobbitschuster (talk) 23:22, 1 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Split?

[edit]

I'm not sure about this, but maybe we should split this into Berlin/Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Berlin/Wedding and Prenzlauer Berg (sorry Gesundbrunnen). It would make the whole thing less donut-y and maybe help make the map less "busy". Hobbitschuster (talk) 18:11, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I also thought the same thing. The current map huddles together three independent boroughs, just because they constitute the party area of Berlin.--Rio65trio (talk) 01:56, 31 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
