I'm not sure where the "Lake and Trail Country" title came from...the State of Oklahoma recognizes this area as "Chickasaw Country" Is there a way to edit the name of this page and also edit the URL, or does it need to be completely recreated?VS (talk) 19:09, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please do not rush this. Although not too difficult it is a little more than a move of this page. Also from my understanding Chickasaw land covers part of Mississippi and Louisiana too. Would be good to provide an external reference to this name to justify the move. --Traveler100 (talk) 19:16, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Also, to respond to this...Yes, the original Chickasaw lands were in Mississippi, but since the Trail of Tears and their purchase of South Central Oklahoma from the Choctaws, their official government lands fall within the boundaries you posted below. However, this is still referencing the official tourism name of the region. I was planning to expand on the history of the Chickasaw Nation and the name of the region in the Understand section, because the culture of this area is very important and yes, it is rich in Native Culture as well. :) I'm enjoying this discussion, but I have no idea if I'm responding to you correctly. I also noticed that this page does not have the form to update listings and I can't seem to figure that out. --VS (talk) 19:19, 4 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Boundary does not appear to be the same as this. --Traveler100 (talk) 19:20, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
The tourism boundary lines are not the same as the Chickasaw Nation boundary lines. The link you posted covers the boundary of the actual government of the Chickasaw Nation. The Oklahoma Tourism Board recognizes different boundaries and names for them. I think that's where the confusion is. These are the officially recognized tourism regions VS (talk) 18:57, 4 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
You now need to change the IsPartOf entry in all the pages of what was Lake and Trail Country‎. --Traveler100 (talk) 19:24, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
^^ I think this is complete. :) Is there anything else I need to do? VS (talk) 18:57, 4 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Looks good, but is Chickasha in Chickasaw Country or Frontier Country?
Good catch. Removed! --VS (talk) 01:34, 8 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
