I have to say I don't see the point of a page like this. It disambiguates a bunch of obscure districts and subdistricts, at least two of which no longer exist, that readers are unlikely to search for and that we don't have articles for anyway. We could create disambiguation pages like this for thousands of place names in China, but I don't see how it would do any good. I'd say let's create disambiguation pages only when we need them rather than throw in every little-known mountain and subdistrict listed on Wikipedia. —Granger (talk · contribs) 14:39, 13 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

The reason I created it was because someone had obviously got confused. The wikidata coordinates for Dongshan (Yilan) where those for Dongshan (Tainan), took me a bit of time to work out the reason for 200 km difference in coordinates. I think it is generally a good idea to show readers that there are other places with the same name. If you see only one page with a name you could think you have found the right one. --Traveler100 (talk) 14:53, 13 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I'm still not convinced this page makes sense, but I can accept there's some logic to what you're saying. But when you create a page like this, please try to check that each of the places still exists and might plausibly have someone searching for it. I'll go through and prune the list now. —Granger (talk · contribs) 15:23, 13 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
