Comments[edit]

I updated some of the formatting issues - primarily the bullets, broken links, and the image thumb tags. Not too sure what else needs to be updated on this page, but it could probably use some more content. Hlekx (talk) 04:28, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the rental listing from the sleep section - partially because it was a rental listing. Partially because the link was no longer valid. Forliasa (talk) 05:59, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge tags[edit]

I don't know these particular towns in Rhode Island, but I'm not sure about the merge tags. Each article seems to stand well on its own, and in New England, townships typically have several villages within their territory. I don't think it should be at all the rule that we demand for only one Wikivoyage article to exist per township. Instead of a merge, it would probably make more sense to simply change the "IsPartOf" in this article and Matunuck to South County (Rhode Island). yes, I was unsure about this myself, even though I proposed it. There does appear to be enough to warrant places in their own right but the listings within South Kingstown, Matunuck, East Matunuck, Kingston (Rhode Island) and Wakefield (Rhode Island) are all mixed up. Some on the wrong page, some duplication and a number I am not sure about yet. It is clear previous contributors have not understood the differences. I am currently sorting out the listing for these pages (any assistance welcome). Once that is done, it should then be a bit clearer what to do (hopefully). Matunuck separate from South Kingstown would appear to make sense but does a separate East Matunuck help the traveler? --Traveler100 (talk) 12:04, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure. When I input East Matunuck, RI on Google Maps, it turns up East Matunuck State Beach. However, there are a few listings in this article, and the driving distance between the center of Matunuck and the Google Maps result for East Matunuck is 4.2 miles, which is far enough in New England to get to the next town, since New England towns were founded long before motorized vehicles existed.
