Removing listings in region article[edit]

Moved from User talk:Ground Zero

Suggestion on how to document most interesting places to see. Alternatively expand the text in the city list. --Traveler100 (talk) 16:19, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Traveler100: I don't think that's better. I think a bulleted list is easier to scan through. Wikivoyage:Article skeleton templates/Sections does not say that region articles should have See listings in paragraph form instead of list form. Ground Zero (talk) 16:37, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I agree it needs more work, putting it into pros like a travel book is best. Bullet list works, but not full listings, just brief description of attraction and where to find it. Wikivoyage:Region article template, Wikivoyage:Region guide status. Not saying best examples but possibilities like Wales#See or Anglesey#See. --Traveler100 (talk) 01:41, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Traveler100: The Wales article, as a country-level article, is understandably much better developed than the Eastern Townships article. But just taking out the bullet points doesn't make it prose: it makes for a list crammed into an unhappy paragraph. The bullet-pointed version is better.
I'm working on bringing all region articles in Canada up to the usable level. I have more than a hundred remaining, so I won't be working spending a lot of time bringing this article up to the standard of the Wales one.
I get the point about taking out the details of listings. I had overlooked an email address, and there was probably too much detail about the library, but unless you're going to continue to work on that article, I'd prefer to restore the bullet point version.
