Talk:Franconian cuisine
Link in "Understand"
[edit]Here it is. It looks topical. Should we instead link it at the top of the article, following the example of destination articles? Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:27, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- Oberfranken is only Upper Franconia i.e. part of the region of Franconia. Hobbitschuster (talk) 09:01, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- So I guess that link has to be merely deleted. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:19, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

- genussregion.oberfranken.de was double, I deleted it. -- Benreis (talk) 09:13, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

Weblinks section
[edit]There's a problem with that section: Wikivoyage:External links specifically states as follows:
There should be no external links section in any article.
The bolding is in the sentence at the link, and it's the third sentence of the lede, so the point is made very emphatically. That said, there can be exceptions to most guidelines by consensus that they are fundamentally important to the interests of the traveler. So let's talk about these links. On the face of it, they look very helpful. A predictable counter-argument is that including links to more comprehensive coverage of this topic discourages editors from adding more content here that would be interesting and relevant to travelers.
