Talk:Grand Tour
Add topicI put Weimar on the list, but for some reason it was removed. Should it be mentioned? Hobbitschuster (talk) 19:15, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- Seemed I deleted it by accident, in a conflicting edit. My bad. /Yvwv (talk) 19:58, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- No problem. Oh and sorry for my phone's weird autocorrects... Hobbitschuster (talk) 20:18, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
Berlin
[edit]While Berlin for at least a century has been a very important city for those touring Europe, I wonder how it fits the scope of the Grand Tour of early modern Europe, which is the stated scope of this article.
The former wording did nothing to tell about importance for visits, while the recent edit by Horst-schlaemma could be clearer. I assume that few readers know that Prussia was a kingdom at the time, so 'the Kingdom' could refer to some more well-known one, and the description is also otherwise quite vague. Was Prussia rising to a political power a reason for the youth to make its capital a destination during the Tour?
