@Achiri Bitamsimli, Ibaman, Matroc: It looks like this community is near Tamale in the Volta Basin region, not in the Northern Plains.

Do you plan to expand this article, or would it be more useful to travellers to redirect this to Tamale, the closest city that has listings for places to eat and sleep? Ground Zero (talk) 21:43, 7 October 2021 (UTC)

• Tamale is in Northern Plains of Ghana as far as I can tell - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Region_(Ghana) and not in The Volta Region.
• I was updating the geo, ispartof and wikidata to tie things together....
• There is a Gurugu, Tomo but Gurugu fit because its a suburb of Tamale and mentions the Savannah.
• The city Tamale under Volta Region should probably be moved to Northern Plains. I think Yapei might also be a candidate as well...
• If no one expands the article then I would agree on redirecting this to Tamale as long as some mention of Gurugu is made on that page. -- Matroc (talk) 04:33, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

@Matroc: Thanks for your response. Wikivoyage's Northern Plains Region is not the same as Northern Region (see Ghana#Regions). Wikivoyage's regions are meant to follow what makes most sense from a traveller's perspective and often differ from a country's administrative regions. Ground Zero (talk) 11:11, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

I changed IsPartOf to Volta Basin as region is displayed on Map on Ghana page... If no one expands this article then a redirect to Tamale would be in order -- Matroc (talk) 01:56, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
