Stub? Sounds pretty well-rounded to me... of course, I've been born in Heidelberg and grew up there (sort of). ;-)

Question: what's missing? Maybe this would give me a reason to visit it again... ;-) --(WT-en) Jae 07:51, 19 Jan 2005 (EST)

Stub definition for Wikivoyage is slightly different from Wikipedia. Essentially there should be enough in the article to cover each section heading with enough information to be useful. If a section heading isn't relevent it can be removed, but surely you can Buy and Get out, also Get in could have By car added. -- (WT-en) Huttite 02:52, 20 Jan 2005 (EST)
Thanks for the info. Would "lots of tourist crap" suffice for the Buy section? Just kidding... since I'm not a tourist I have no idea what could be interesting to buy to a tourist. Apart from souvenirs, HD ist just an ordinary city, shops abound. --(WT-en) Jae 12:51, 20 Jan 2005 (EST)

Eat section

[edit]

I have removed the following entries as they are suspiciously like fake listings on other pages. Although the names of restaurants and streets sound plausible the combination in Heidelberg do not. If you believe these are genuine please add back but with more detail. --Traveler100 (talk) 05:58, 12 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

"Guided tours" section

[edit]

Guided tours — free or otherwise — normally can't be listed on this site, due to policy, as shown on Wikivoyage:Tour. However, I've moved this section here in case there's anything salvageable from it:

Guided Tours

[edit]
  • Private Walking Tours Old City and / or Castle in German, English, Spanish and Portuguese Heidelberg TourGuide
  • Heidelberg Tourist Guide - Guided tours of Heidelberg Castle, Old Town and the Neckar river. Note that on weekends, it may not be possible to arrange for English language tours as such tour guides are fewer in number than German language ones.
  • Free walking tours in English, 14.30 Wed-Sun, meet at the monkey statue by the Old Bridge.
