Der Dom[edit]

So apparently, somebody who wrote this article made the common mistake of translating "Dom" (important church, most often also a cathedral, though a Dom is not necessarily a seat of a bishop and the German word Kathedrale also exists) with the English word "dome" which - though similar in appearance - means a different thing. Given that the Dom appears to be one of the main draws of this place, we might wish to reformulate a bit? I just changed every instance of the erroneous "dome" to "Dom" but I am quite sure this might confuse some readers... Hobbitschuster (talk) 12:05, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's OK for English-speaking readers to have to learn what "Dom" means, but if this Dom is also a Kathedrale and you'd like to eliminate any ambiguity for English-speaking readers, we could put "Cathedral" in parentheses. Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:39, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know whether it also is a "Kathedrale". Not least because the term "Dom" is widely more common in German... Hobbitschuster (talk) 13:09, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
