Comment on Berney Arms Station in Get About[edit]

The get about section previously contained this content:

Berney Arms Station is the most remote railway station in the United Kingdom.

The get about section is supposed to contain practical information to help people get about (in this case) Norfolk. I cannot see how the above content helped this, so I have moved it to the talk page. (WT-en) Chris j wood 16:47, 1 Jul 2004 (EDT)

North & South[edit]

Is the really a need for the North & South Norfolk regions? I think it would be better to have all the towns to be part of Norfolk directly, and redirect the South Norfolk article to Norfolk. -- WOSlinker (talk) 12:32, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'd agree, as Norfolk (being the fine unspoilt area it is) is quite spread out in terms of towns and cities. I recall at one point there were even further divisions in Norfolk articles, which were judged as being unnecessary. --Half past (formerly 'SUFCboy') 17:30, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Normally I would agree, as I've been recenty been hunting down instances of overzealous region-ification and reversing them myself. The only problem here is that if we put the two back together, there are already 19 city articles, which would give us quite a long list (longer if we include the 8 or so redlinks), and we typically start breaking into regions when we reach about 10. There are a number of other English counties with about 20 articles in them. Norfolk is the only one that is currently split into two. -- WOSlinker (talk) 19:30, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is better to have a long list in the Norfolk article rather than an unclear North and South split. --Traveler100 (talk) 10:01, 28 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
To re-iterate WOSlinker's much earlier point, it is the norm among English counties to have long lists of towns and villages and no regionalisation. I wouldn't be opposed to dividing more of the larger counties (e.g. Devon, Lincolnshire) into smaller regions, but I would wait until we have an acceptable amount of content in the main article (which of course many don't) before doing so. --ThunderingTyphoons! South Norfolk has been redirected as was nothing more that a list of a few villages. North Norfolk I have moved listings to the relevant town article but have left as a park article as there is some useful content. Note sure the article is in the best state though. --Traveler100 (talk) 12:31, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Nonetheless, that's a good solution for now. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 13:07, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Get in by train[edit]

Looking at the text on North Norfolk the by train section of this article needs updating. --Traveler100 (talk) 18:23, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
