Ordering of attractions[edit]

The presentation of things to see does not follow alphabetical order. It was thought more logical to follow the Appian Way so people could see what to visit as they walked along the road. First come the walls and museum, then the HQ of the Appian Way park (yet to be inserted) then the catacombs and Quo Vadis, etc, etc. (WT-en) Shep 03:40, 6 April 2009 (EDT)

Page banner and request for a comment[edit]

The current banner uses a pretty photo File:Aqua Claudia1.jpg. Sadly, it doesn't have the required size (minimum of 1800 px per Banner Expedition). I am going to remove it and I would suggest to replace it by another picture of the same theme. Can anybody tell me if the picture was also take in Rome - South? Thanks. --Danapit (talk) 11:49, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Definition of South and location of Santa Passera[edit]

The map on the main Rome page and the definition of North and South according to Municipii is arbitrary and wrong. The North is correctly defined as the area to the north of the centre. Clearly, then, the South is the area to the south of the centre. Thus Santa Passera cannot be in the North when it is several kilometres south of the centre. I am not sure where the definitions of North and South come from. They don't appear to have any legal standing. Quote from English Wikipedia "Santa Passera is a church in the south of Rome ". Should I change south to north here?Roundtheworld (talk) 09:18, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

At Rome it says "Municipi III, XI-XV" for North and "Municipi IV-IX" for South. So, the church is not in South because it is in XI. --FredTC (talk) 09:50, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Can the church even be listed per wv:worship? SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 09:53, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@SHB2000 There is a commons category that has 8 churches near that church, 7 of which would qualify as wv:worship, but the Santa Passera is well over 1000 years old and could be interesting for tourists for a visit. But the issue is "should it be listed in Rome/South or in Rome/North". I added the map that shows the word North also in the West part of that map. This map was used since in 2009 the districts were defined in the way they are now. The name North could be confusing (as it is forRoundtheworld), but by the definition "Municipi III, XI-XV" for it clearly shows which area we on en:Wikivoyage mean with North. As long as we don't redefine the Districts definition of Rome, the church is in North. BTW: If I would have made the districts definition, I would have given the name North-West to what is now North and South-East to what is now South. --FredTC (talk) 11:44, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Names of districts can always be changed. Make a proposal at Talk:Rome. Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:07, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
