Cache problem?[edit]

Is this page experiencing a cache issue? Image markups are listed in See yet there are no images viewable...anyone else having trouble seeing 2 photos below the top one?(WT-en) Zepppep 09:41, 7 January 2010 (EST)

I see them—it's the dreaded cache problem, no doubt. Try refreshing your browser window. If that doesn't work, click edit, then click the "purge cache of this page" link at the very bottom of the screen, and then refresh the article once more. (Yes, this is ridiculous.) --(WT-en) Peter Talk 13:16, 7 January 2010 (EST)

Page banner[edit]

I was just about to add this banner only to find out the picture is there already... hmmm. Danapit (talk) 12:34, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find one, it might be better to use a photo of the interesting older buildings. Search terms might be the district names "xuhui" and "luwan" or street/neighborhood names (French_Concession#Neighborhoods) instead of "French Concession". Pashley (talk) 13:07, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Would this be more suitable? Danapit (talk) 13:24, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I like it, so I've put it in. We could always change later if something even better appears. Pashley (talk) 13:50, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, I find the Xujiahui banner so much better! PrinceGloria (talk) 06:03, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Key memory for me is the tree lined streets with European architecture. Nice if we could find a banner with that... --Andrewssi2 (talk) 06:39, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dates for Sun yat-sen?[edit]

Our text about Sun's house under Shanghai/French_Concession#See currently says "The house was the Shanghai residence of Sun Yat-sen and his wife Soong Ching Ling from 1918-1937." This seems odd, since Sun died in 1925. Also, the capital was Nanjing and he mostly lived there; of course he may have had a Shanghai house too, but that may need checking. Pashley (talk) 16:25, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Also, her father w:Charlie Soong died in 1918 and she wound up with that house, which we also list. Was that immediate, or did one of her siblings have it before her, perhaps until they all left for Taiwan in '49? A biography I read mentioned she had her own Shanghai house before moving into dad's old place. Pashley (talk) 16:46, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dividing #See[edit]

I want to extend the #See section. New entries:

There might be more. The current divisions under #See are some areas, and Political history is topic-based. What is not yet there is Xujiahui (entries 1-3) and Parks. The big dilemma will be, what to do with parks in Xujiahui. How about adding a South Xuhui title, that covers entries 4-7 in (Middle and) South Xuhui and acts like an Other Areas title? (As you might have guessed, i live in South Xuhui.) By the way, in some SH districts the parks are to #See, while in others to #Do.Szalai.laci (talk) 05:45, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
