Monitor radar

In Stay safe we have this bullet:

• Monitor radar. This can help you avoid getting too close to a tornado, but also avoid getting hit by large hail. Large hail can strike without warning, even out of storms that don't seem likely, such as those without dark or green sky. Large hail can completely mess up your vehicle.

Is "monitor radar" a device, or is "monitor" an imperative, with radar lacking the article? All other bullets are introduced with an imperative and nothing is said about any radar in Prepare, so this is confusing. Am I simply ignorant of this word or phrase?

(I also think "mess up" should be reworded in all bullets. Having to tidy up my car afterwards is a minor issue, and I think something else is meant.)

Hi SHB2000 and LPfi, my apologies; lots of weather radar can be found online, although I haven't used it in a proper chase yet. "Monitor radar" as in "monitor the weather radar". I will edit the article now. Rubbish computer (Ping me or leave a message on my talk page) 18:09, 15 June 2022 (UTC)

Thanks. I assume "offline" watching of the radar simply means using a smartphone app instead of your web browser. Without a data connection on your phone you cannot get updates with enough data for an image (SMS would work for textual info, but not radar images, and multimedia messages are received through the data connection). –LPfi (talk) 20:23, 15 June 2022 (UTC)

Hi LPfi, just tweaked the page a bit based on this talk. When I've used radar myself it was over the internet in the UK, during our relatively small thunderstorms, usually in my local area.
