Move to Uros Islands

So far as I can tell, they're called the "Uros Islands": Wikipedia, Google search. I'd move it, but don't have rights to move over the existing (more than one edit) redirect. Any help/feedback would be appreciated. Brycehughes (talk) 01:02, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

• Comment The Spanish article is w:es:Islas flotantes de los uros, the "floating islands of the Uros". Uros is plural for the Uro or Uru people. I don't see any convincing evidence on "Uros Islands" being the name. Isn't the common practice in English to use the ethnicity in singular in such names? Of course, just taking the end of "Islas flotantes ..." results in Uros, and then Uros island, but this seems to be just out of sloppiness. –LPfi (talk) 11:00, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

@LPfi: I think it's more that the common name in English is the Uros Islands or Uros Floating Islands, regardless of whether it's technically correct (about which you might be right, I don't know). Brycehughes (talk) 12:34, 3 November 2023 (UTC)

@LPfi: Trying doing a search on "Uro Islands". The results come up overwhelmingly as "Uros Islands" aside from Wikivoyage, Wikitravel, and something called Mapcarta. BBC, Peruhop, TripAdvisor, and others use "Uros Islands" Ground Zero (talk) 17:00, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
