Continuation of this article.[edit]

I started the article on Wajir Town, while editing Hargeisa, however I only started it so it would have a link, and some info, I’m asking that you all add more information on the town of Wajir. Somalilandscholar (talk) 17:58, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Wikivoyage has only one editor with knowledge of this region: you. If you can't find any information on Wajir, then maybe we should just merge the information that is there into the region article and redirect it so that it is easier for readers to find. There is no point in keeping a stub article around if it is unlikely that it will be expanded. Ground Zero (talk) 19:34, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
[Edit conflict:] I was going to make a similar point: Who is "You," and do they know anything about Wajir Town? Answer: Probably not. My advice to you is not to start articles about more or less out-of-the-way places and expect anyone else to add more information. Having a link is not mentioned in Wikivoyage:What is an article as a reason to start an article. However, this is really an outline article, not a stub, and I think there is probably enough information in this article to keep it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:38, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, for the tips. No I have not been to Wajir Town. No, I’m able to find the information, and have more interest in other projects of my own.

However I will continue my research and when I have more time I will continue contributing. —The preceding comment was added by Somalilandscholar (talkcontribs)

@User:Somalilandscholar: thank you for providing additional information. The information on hotels, in particular, will be useful to travellers. Ground Zero (talk) 20:01, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure if anyone will see this? But this is Scholar on a alt, I'd like to say that all info can be found using Google, maps, travel guides, etc. Applepieeater (talk) 05:07, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Just a confirmation that someone has seen this. Good to know for verifiability :-). --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 11:10, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
