Black Sea coast

Probably not everything is worthy of a separate article, but figuring out how to combine them can be tricky. North to south:

  • Tyulenovo - the arch and other rock formations, only oil field in Bulgaria; adm. Shabla

  • Kavarna - they have another fortress?

Map experiments

In theory, tourism regions should be able to be displayed by using lists of the Wikidata IDs of constituent municipalities in the mapshape template. In practice, it turns out that:

• not all municipalities have mutual links with their OpenStreetMap entities
• large city municipalities are treated by OpenStreetMap as synonymous with their city and link to that city's Wikidata entry instead of the municipality entry, breaking the data lookup mechanism
• province entities work fine (see the map), but those are of no use - the tourism regions are assigned at municipal, not province level

Brainstorming region names

So I don't forget my ideas again. Same numbers as in Talk:Bulgaria.

1. Rila and Pirin, Southwestern Bulgaria? (currently Pirin Macedonia)
2. Capital Region of Bulgaria, Sofia and Kraishte, Sofia Region, retain Bulgarian Shopluk <- least favored.
3. Rhodope Mountains - the same?
4. The Valley of Roses (new)
5. Bulgarian Thrace, retain Northern Thrace
6. Balkan Mountains
7. Danubian Bulgaria, Danube Bulgaria, Danubian Plain (geographically ambiguous, see wikipedia:en:Danubian Plain), retain North Bulgaria (geographically imprecise, Northern Bulgaria is everything north of the Balkan Mountains; inconsistent with the name Northern Thrace)
8. Northern Coast of Bulgaria (the country borders only one sea, so specifying "Black Sea Coast" or just "Sea Coast" is unnecessary), Varna Sea Coast (currently both the last items are Bulgarian Black Sea Coast)
9. Southern Coast of Bulgaria, Burgas Sea Coast
