Hello, Damianmx! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

Eastern Europe

[edit]

Hi, Damianmx, and thanks for your helpful edits to the Georgia (country) article! One point of disagreement, though: This site divides Europe into several different regions. None of them is called "Eastern Europe", and Georgia is placed in the Caucasus region. I would also say that I've never heard anyone describe Caucasian nations as "Eastern European". During the Warsaw Pact days, all the Soviet client states were often somewhat carelessly grouped together as "Eastern Europe", although countries like Hungary and the then-Czechoslovakia are really more Central European in geography and culture. Anyway, if you'd like to argue the point, please start a thread at Talk:Georgia (country), and perhaps you'll be able to educate and convince the rest of us that it would be most useful to call Georgia part of Eastern Europe.

All the best,
