[edit]@ThunderingTyphoons!: I was not vandalising. I simply just made a category of nations that are officially considered do not travel zones. How is that bad? I'm trying to help travellers. 2001:8004:44F0:5B7C:8177:1E9D:E355:7D64 10:51, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, 2001:8004:44F0:5B7C:8177:1E9D:E355:7D64! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
- To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikivoyage:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.
- By the way, have you considered creating an : account here? While you can absolutely keep contributing as an anonymous user, it promises a bunch of benefits, and no obligations.
- I'll unblock you, but I have to ask you not to create such categories, which aren't used on Wikivoyage. It's not about being "woke". We already use Template:Warningbox on articles for destinations with government travel advisories issued about them. All are welcome to keep those updated, based on government-issued advice.
- Accepting your word that you were trying to help travellers, I apologise for misidentifying your edits as vandalism. However, creating new categories and then adding a bunch of articles to them without first seeking any community feedback on your idea was disruptive. Since it took time and effort to undo your edits, part of the reason for my block was to stop you from creating more work to be undone.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 12:42, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- Okay cheers. 2001:8004:44F0:5B7C:8177:1E9D:E355:7D64 21:07, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- Instead of making this kind of edit, please look at the existing warningboxes in other country articles, which give links to travel warnings, and include those. See the Iraq page, for one example of the format we've adopted on this site. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:28, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- Okay I've added some links. Somewhere like the Philippines though will change overtime (Iraq hasn't had much change for like the past four decades). Thanks. 2001:8004:44F0:5B7C:8177:1E9D:E355:7D64 21:36, 2 June 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Re: this reversion: Please have a look at Wikivoyage:External links and Wikivoyage:Links to Wikipedia. Welcome, Wikipedians will probably also be useful.
All the best,

- Okay, thanks. Just thought that Wikipedia might explain it better. 2001:8004:44F0:5B7C:8177:1E9D:E355:7D64 06:26, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- If there's anything we should add, please add it, preferably by summarizing or paraphrasing, though quotation from Wikipedia is OK with credit in your edit summary (which I would give for a summary or paraphrase, too). Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:40, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
Talk thread for you to look at
[edit]Please see Talk:Aborigine. That redirect is likely to be deleted in 24 hours, so make an argument for it in that thread if you like. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:25, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
