Welcome, but be careful not to copy and paste

[edit]

Hello Aderiqueza! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you are a Wikipedian then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:

It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!

Thank you for your work on the Ede City article! However, I had to revert the listing you added for NYSC orientation camp because you copied and pasted text from https://hotels.ng/places/government-building/1981-nysc-permanent-orientation-camp-osun, violating its copyright and this site's copyleft policies. I also don't understand why visitors are likely to want to go to a National Youth Service Corps training camp. Travel guides cover attractions and activities of interest to travellers and do not encompass everything a person could do somewhere.

All the best,

Again, an obvious cut-and-paste job, and it also violates this site's don't tout guidelines, because you copied publicity from the hotel. Reverted accordingly. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:37, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Expedition

A new "expedition" has been created to support the fantastic work of the Nigerian team. Please see Wikivoyage:Nigeria Expedition. Ground Zero (talk) 02:56, 20 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Muni Estuary Nature Reserve

[edit]

Hi, Aderiqueza. That article is nominated for deletion. If you'd like to save it, please add practical information for travelers. How do they get there, how do they get around the reserve, is there any admission fee, where if anywhere can they stay, are there particularly interesting areas in it, what dangers should visitors be careful of? Etc. And thanks! Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:35, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the hints. I will go back to the article and add practical information that can serve as guides for travelers. Aderiqueza (talk) 23:48, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
