Hello, Berlinuno! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

I moved an image you had inserted in the Cebu City article, putting it in Oslob instead.

"I love you" wall

[edit]

Hi. I removed mention of that wall in the Paris guide, because I doubt it merits a highlight at that level, but never fear: I created a templated listing for it at Paris/18th arrondissement. If you know the geo coordinates for it, please add them.

Merci beaucoup (that's "thank you very much" in French),

Photos and photo captions

[edit]

Thanks a lot for taking photos around the world! Also, thanks for adding some thumbnails to articles.

I know this is a delicate subject, but even in the case of places where you've taken photos, sometimes, someone else has taken a better photo that you can find on Commons, and in most such cases, the other person's photo should be used. Similarly, if we already have a good thumbnail of something in an article, we generally don't need two, no matter how good the second one is.

Most importantly, all captions to thumbnails used in English-language Wikivoyage articles must be in clear English. They needn't be phrased the same way as the filename or file description, but they absolutely cannot be in non-Roman alphabets, syllabaries or characters.

I hope none of this annoys or dispirits you. I greatly appreciate your enthusiasm and contributions.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss anything. I'd be happy to assist you in any way I can.

All the best,
