Hello, Ftrebien! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

Also, sorry about the revert to Rio de Janiero. I didn't pay attention to the link properly, hence my self revert.

All the best,

@SHB2000: It's alright. I'm from Porto Alegre, and I'm a Wikipedian and OpenStreetMapper and long time user of Wikivoyage, I just didn't have time to create a user page here. I'm impressed that no one has added this information to the guide yet. Once I was in Rio, there was this guy from the UK who was shocked when I told him he had unknowingly bathed in a polluted beach, so I hope this helps reduce that kind of situation. Unfortunately, the government page does not have an English translation, so the guide can try to help the situation by telling the reader how to navigate through it. The problem exists along the entire coast of the country, from north to south. --Ftrebien (talk) 14:20, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for all the contributions you've made so far. AFAIK, Ibaman is from Brazil, although I'm not sure where in Brazil they're from. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 21:14, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
