Hello, Kiaora! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.--ϒpsilon (talk) 20:12, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dilijan[edit]

Thanks so much for adding content to the Dilijan article! I nominated it for an Off the Beaten Path feature, but concern has been expressed about the amount of content in "Do", "Buy" and "Eat". You've added content to the "Eat" section. Would you be able to help with "Do" and "Buy"? Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:43, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, no probs, I'll try to add the missing content. And once I'm done I'll let you know here. Thanks --Kiaora (talk) 13:44, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome! Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:56, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ikan Kekek, sorry I didn't let you know about my progress with this article for a long time. But anyway, now it seems I added all the stuff I wanted to add. Please, let me know if some content is missing or not clear or requires some improvement - maybe I can help with this. But I more or less done with the article.
On the other hand, if the idea is to find a OtBP destination particularly from Armenia, then you can also have a look at Alaverdi (not the most interesting town itself, maybe even a gloomy one but it has world class destinations nearby), Echmiadzin - spiritual center of Armenia (I think the place deserves to be high on the list but there is not so many content in the article as of now). Another idea would be to simply translate Ashtarak or Gyumri from Russian wikivoyage since they are already of a decent quality and are an interesting destinations. --Kiaora (talk) 23:06, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't read Russian. :-) Thanks for your work. I'll have a look when I can. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:26, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well, sorry, I thought everybody does %) But anyway, just to make myself clear, my initial intention was to show it has lots of content and it's in a good shape. --Kiaora (talk) 00:03, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I just looked over the article. Thanks for your edits, which have improved it a lot! The reason I nominated Dilijan for a front-page Off the beaten path feature is that it is at Guide status. Alaverdi and Gyumri are Usable and Echmiadzin Ashtarak are Outlines, so none of those articles are eligible for consideration for a front-page feature at this stage. I will post at dotm#Dilijan to see what people think of the article now. I hope you will have time to participate in the discussion. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:49, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, thanks for a detailed reply. I'll just repeat that Gyumri and Ashtarak can be seriously improved using their ru: counterparts (which I planned to do anyway). Also I'll be off the internet for the next week starting today so I guess I'll join the discussion a bit later. Thanks--Kiaora (talk) 07:42, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Thank you very much for taking charge of the Ha Giang article. Most appreciated! Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:44, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No probs. Discussing it was way longer than doing this ;) --Kiaora (talk) 07:03, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cruise ships in "Get in"[edit]

Hi, Kiaora. I noticed this edit. On your general point, I would say that cruise ships are fine to mention as a means of getting into a destination. However, I thoroughly approve of your deletion, given that the information is 5 years old and links to a news story, rather than a cruise ship company's website. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:40, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cool, thanks for the notice. I checked company's website now and there are about 15 cruises in Asia, however, none of them explicitly mentions Sri Lanka. --Kiaora (talk) 01:44, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
