Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Rukkha1024! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. Pashley (talk) 18:13, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

What does and does not get an article

[edit]

Hi. Please read Wikivoyage:What is an article. A palace should get a listing in the article for the town it's in (or if there is no article for that town, the article for the nearest town). It does not get its own Wikivoyage article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:12, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for reminding. I truly accept your feedback and make a new article about 'Gyeongbok-gung'.
Here is a URL for 'Gyeongbok-gung' Seoul/Jongno/Gyeongbok-gung Rukkha1024 (talk) 03:22, 16 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
That's a stub, and it doesn't fit properly into the Wikivoyage:Geographical hierarchy, so sooner or later, it will need to be deleted or at least moved. There is already a listing for this palace in Seoul/Jongno. Please expand the listing with information that's interesting to travelers. I also addressed this issue in the Travellers' pub. It's not a crazy idea that it could be its own district, but there are some questions that need to be addressed before we could consider an exception to normal Wikivoyage guidelines in this case.
