A question
[edit]Since you've helped out with User:Stefan2/file links to update, maybe you can also help out with User:Stefan2/copied from Wikipedia? There are a couple of files which have been copied from Wikipedia to Wikivoyage, but the files have since been deleted from Wikipedia with the motivation that the files have been copied to Commons, but I can't find the files on Commons. There might be a notice on the deleted file information pages providing the file name on Commons. Could you check this? Also, the list of files might be extended with more files in the future. --Stefan2 (talk) 19:07, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
- Also, the page User:Stefan2/copied from Wikipedia is sometimes filled up with new files, so it would be nice if you could check the page regularly. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:45, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks!
[edit]Hi, Snowolf! Thanks for the shoutout!

JS Toolbox suggestions
[edit]Hey! Some immediate suggestions I would have to the toolbox would be the addition of the welcomeplusanon template, plus maybe the addition of a welcome+warn template, since I would presume most edits requiring warning are done by users that haven't been warned yet. A "softer" warning message could also be useful for users that very likely just made a mistake, vs. people who are deliberately making nonconstructive edits. Just a few thoughts. Hawaiian Eskimo (talk) 00:39, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- I quite agree. My idea was something on the lines of: Welcome, Welcomeanon, test (mild), test (stronger), vand (semi-mild), vand (stronger), tout, blanking (mild), blanking (stronger). And the templates, including the existing ones, should have the parameter for linking the page like the tool allows to. I mainly went with the current two warning thing to get some sort of system set up quickly :) I'll likely work on it over the weekend. Snowolf How can I help? 03:10, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- I would suggest using the welcomeplus templates, since the content without a custom message is still the same, and it allows some personalization. It may even be possible to work that into a textbox like the article name, although I don't know how the tool handles all of that so I'm just throwing out ideas. Also, is the "br clear="both"" markup supposed to be part of the inserted text, or is that an error? I'm not familiar with its usage. Hawaiian Eskimo (talk) 05:17, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, scratch the first bit. It might overcomplicate things a bit, and the tool is designed to be for quick messages anyways. Hawaiian Eskimo (talk) 06:43, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

I just wanted to give you a quick thanks for the new toolset. INeverCry 19:52, 19 January 2013 (UTC) |
- Aww thank you! It is honestly mostly User:Kbh3rd's merit tho, I merely adapted it a bit :) Snowolf How can I help? 23:09, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Revision delete
[edit]Hi Snowolf. I noticed a few days ago that a revision was deleted on my userpage, per . Special:Contributions/68.84.243.130 appeared to have been vandalising my userpage. Was personal information disclosure the reason for the deletion? Thanks in advance, JamesA >talk 12:57, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- That was actually oversighted by a steward, not revision-deleted. I'll leave it to Snowolf to answer what the information was, since I can't see it. --Rschen7754 20:41, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- I have already emailed the user answering this question :) Snowolf How can I help? 21:01, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
Complicated argument
[edit]Wikivoyage:Votes_for_deletion#Marriage_in_China has a very long complex discussion, I think more about the project's scope than the actual article. I wonder if you would care to add your perspective as someone who might have a broader WMF view. Pashley (talk) 14:40, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
