Berlin tram and other minor points

First of all thanks gor your effort. Great work! I am sorry and I never quite understood it but for some bizarre reason the BVG decided to have buses with a leading M in their number and Trams without one. Apparently it is to suggest buses and trams can reach the same standard which of course is nonsense. Trams are inherently better just by virtue of steel wheel on steel rail.

At any rate that should be addressed.

Another minor issue is that Straßenbahn is still spelled with an ß in Germany and Austria. And lastly the Dresden tramway actually a signs their lines a color and there is no line 5. Don't ask me why. Hobbitschuster (talk) 16:38, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

I am well-aware that Strassenbahn should be written as Straßenbahn, but from what I can recall from the little German I had in school, a double-s is a perfectly fine replacement for the ß. I wrote everything as Strassenbahn rather than Straßenbahn because the ß is a hassle for me to enter, so I'd rather not. As for Dresden's T5, I'm pretty sure that that is only in there because my mind started entering them semi-automatically. Most likely I added it after looking at the list in w:Trams in Dresden, thinking that it looks like a full list from 1-13 with 20 as the odd one out, and wrote it in as such. Would you rather I remove it? There are plenty of lines for Asia that won't be completed until 2030 or later. For all we know, Dresden might have a T5 by then.

Concerning Berlin, the map of the Straßenbahnnetz that I found ^link list both M-lines and numeral lines to co-exist as tramways. I then take it that the M-lines would be BRT instead?

No, the M buses are just... erm... "better buses". There is actually nothing special about the buses with an M. Exhibit a: Line 100 (not an M line) has frequent departure and is often run by double deckers. I think the M lines are supposed to also run at night... Except when they don't. There are some Busspuren, but that's true for M and non M lines. Another issue is that Stadtbahn is (usually) a light rail system, sometimes with underground portions while S-Bahn is a heavy rail system (with third rail electrification in Berlin and Hamburg but overhead catenary everywhere else) and the two despite having confusingly similar names are not the same. Except of course in Karlsruhe, where the "Stadtbahn" is a w:tram-train that is abbreviated with a leading S and often confused with an S-Bahn because it reaches far out into the surroundings. Oh and the Dresden lines don't have a leading "T" (Though all single digit lines are trams and line 20 is only run for certain events). There might indeed some day be a Dresden Tram line 5 again given that they are expanding the network currently... Puerto Rico

The capital of Puerto Rico, San Juan has a metro system locally called "tren urbano" should it be listed under USA or under its own Puerto Rico heading? Hobbitschuster (talk) 16:52, 10 March 2018 (UTC)

@Hobbitschuster: I'd say list it as US. Puerto Rico is a territory of the US after all. On another note, you don't have to add every system that you'd like to see added in the future. Instead, please write a list of these somewhere at the bottom of the page. This way, it won't confuse me when I add the options listed in the template. Aside from that, I do appreciate the help :)
