Translating pages to Slovene
I would like to volunteer to translate pages to Slovene. If this is in interest to the site's managers, please contact me. I would appreciate it if someone that already knows the site well would leave contact information so I would know where to direct any potential questions. Thank you in advance for your answer. Best regards, AllyThea (talk) 17:28, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- @AllyThea: Is there a Slovenian language Wikivoyage to which you plan to translate? I couldn't find one, but I am not exactly Slovenian. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 18:15, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- @AllyThea, SelfieCity: Wikivoyage in Slovene is in the incubator, which means it does not yet have enough content or enough of a community to be worthwhile as a project on its own. You are welcome to work on it and if a few dedicated editors turn up, you can ask to have it transformed to a regular Wikivoyage project – but unless you yourself can get people to join there is a severe risk of having to do any nearly all proper writing by yourself (with technical help and advice available e.g. here). If you want to engage in such a project, I'd advise to think clearly about what needs to be done to get a start useful for Slovene readers. --LPfi (talk) 19:13, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- Indeed, if you're already contributing to Slovenian Wikipedia or some other wiki, it can be a good idea to ask around if there are contributors there who might also be interested in writing travel guides. --Ypsilon (talk) 19:17, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
