Get in

[edit]

Mandya is well connected to Bangalore, Mysore and other major cities in Karnataka by bus and train. KSRTC buses run for every 5 minutes from Bangalore and Mysore.

The nearest airports are Mysore Airport (MYQ IATA) which is 40 km (25 mi) away and Bangalore Airport (BLR IATA) which is 130 km (81 mi) away.

Get around

[edit]

Public transport is mainly restricted to auto-rickshaw, but city buses also run to some stretches. Initial prices quoted are hugely exaggerated, so you are up for heavy bargaining. Enquire from some local about the prevailing prices from one point of the city to the other.

Frequent train runs both towards Bangalore and Mysore.
