Farmington is the county seat of Franklin County, Maine. It's a quaint town of less than 8,000 residents.

By plane[edit]

The Portland International Jetport (PWM IATA) is Maine's largest airport. It offers jet and commuter service on United, American, JetBlue, Southwest and Delta. PWM has non-stop service to Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, New York City, Newark, Orlando and Philadelphia. The airport is 1 hour and 40 minutes' drive from Farmington.

The Bangor International Airport (BGR IATA) is Maine's second largest airport. It offers jet and commuter service on Allegiant, United, American and Delta. BGR has non-stop service to Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers, New York City, Detroit, Chicago and Philadelphia. The airport is 1 hour and 30 minutes from Farmington

The Augusta State Airport (AUG IATA) is an airport in Augusta, Maine. It offers commuter service on Cape Air. AUG has non-stop service to Boston. The airport is 40 minutes from Farmington.

By car[edit]

Farmington is located on US Route 2 and Maine Routes 4, 27, 43, 133, 156, 149, and 41. It's about 50-55 minutes' driving time from Waterville and Augusta, a bit over an hour from Lewiston–Auburn, a little more than an hour and a half from Portland and about an hour and 45 minutes from Bangor.
