Talk:Anchorage
I'm 90% sure of the numbers I quoted on this page for taxi and bus fares and the trail mileage. I'll research it this evening and edit if necessary.
Some of the information I posted in Getting in and Getting around is very slightly duplicative of the info I posted on the Alaska page. This page has just the info for Anchorage; the Alaska page is much broader. Edit if necessary...but I guess that goes without saying! :-)
A little bit of the material is from that which I posted on Wikipedia's Alaska page. When copying it, I removed the Wiki links as most were not applicable here. As time allows, I'll study the article database of related articles to see what types of Wiki links you guys here on WikiTravel like, and then I'll go back through and Wikify the appropriate ones...unless someone beats me to it.

First tap is on Thursdays, not Tuesdays. The drink section could use a few more entries of "notable" Anchorage bars -- the Cheechako (can't remember it's new name..), Sub-Zero, or Darwin's Theory off the top of my head. I'll try to add something about those later and I'll fix the first tap thing now. 71.237.163.19 04:25, 21 January 2007 (EST)
Temperature Chart
[edit]The chart shows the "low" temperature of November as 16 degrees, December as 29 degrees, and January as 9 degrees. Is this correct? Does the low temperature jump back up that high from November to December, then drop back down that sharply for January; or is someone putting in inaccurate information?
Touting?
[edit]What was wrong with this listing? (WT-en) LtPowers 16:06, 9 September 2010 (EDT)
- The user in question has been adding a lot of marketing links, most of which are in the first person and violate SEO, but the listing you've pointed out was the only one that I didn't revert since it actually seemed OK, although perhaps User:(WT-en) Roundtheworld saw something questionable. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 17:00, 9 September 2010 (EDT)
The get around section
[edit]Is in serious need of a rewrite and sectionalizing (which i have partially done). Is there someone who has been to Anchorage who could help out? Hobbitschuster (talk) 16:05, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
