Talk:Elephants

Thank you for starting this article SHB. I've noticed that Wikivoyage's treatment of animals and wildlife from a travel topic perspective has been lacking. We do a reasonable job in the destination articles but apart from whale watching the wildlife articles are too overviewy and broad to be useful for someone wanting to know where they can find particular animals. Some of them fit well in the continent/ecozone classification we have (like penguins in wildlife of the Southern Ocean) but many span multiple regions. And even for animals which are in one country/region only like koalas, you won't get a good level of detail in Australasian wildlife because there are so many other animals to cover. :)
Elephants is also another one that spans multiple regions too. Eurasian wildlife and/or African wildlife seems just too broad of a topic to add this into. Hope more articles about wildlife will eventually be created. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 02:43, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate banner was a candidate for Botswana. Current can also be considered for Kenya. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 09:33, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but while this is a very close question, I prefer the current banner because we have a more intimate experience of the elephants when looking at them more closely. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:35, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
