Talk:Lomé
Should Lomé have an article name of Lome? Please see Project:Article naming conventions#Foreign language characters. -- (WT-en) Huttite 05:47, 11 Jan 2005 (EST)
- Nope, per Project:Article_naming_conventions#When_there_are_multiple_names (see also Project talk:Naming_conventions#Latin_Characters). I didn't actually recognize this article title—looks like it should be pronounced "loam." Moving to Lomé. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 10:11, 16 April 2010 (EDT)
Alternative banner for this article?
[edit]I created a new alternative banner for this article (I initially created it first and foremost so that it would be used at the top of the parallel article in the Hebrew edition of Wikivoyage, yet I later decided to also suggest that the English Wikivoyage community would consider using it here as well). So, which banner do you prefer having at the top of this article? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 05:18, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
- The Voodoo fetish market is much more interesting than the street scene. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:28, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
- Good example of when not to replace a banner :) --Andrewssi2 (talk) 12:40, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

- "Reason for the nomination: According to fr:Hôtel 2 Février Lomé, the building was completed in 1980. There is no acceptable freedom of panorama in Togo, and COM:VRT permission from the architects is still required. Togolese FOP only allows reproductions of works through broadcasting or audiovisual works, not photos (even incidental inclusion is only allowed through audiovisual or broadcasting works, not photos)."
- There's room for another thumbnail or two in this article, but I don't find this modern building that interesting, and the photo isn't currently visible in the article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:01, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- Then it must be used via Wikidata. Then we don't need to do anything about this I guess. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 07:05, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
