Let me guess: This is a deleteable article. @SelfieCity, Ikan Kekek: Libertarianmoderate (talk) 19:30, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

All the listings need information; mere names are not very good. And why do you need an armored car? Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:00, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's a city of over 200,000 people, so there's no reason why it shouldn't have an article, but this one is of no use to travellers. Add some useful info, and it would be worth keeping. Maybe instead of creating bunches of latgely empty stubs, you could focus on creating fewer articles, but ones that could actually be used by travellers. Don't think that if you'll start it, someone else will come along and fill it out. Unfortunately, we don't have enough people for that. This article was created in 2006, and is still waiting for someone to expand it, even though its in an English-speaking country where we have lots of contributors. The chances of someone else knowing anything about Marpua or taking the time to research it are pretty much non-existent. Ground Zero (talk) 01:06, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the thing, @Libertarianmoderate: the business listings, like places to eat and sleep, have no information. This might not be an issue for somewhere that travellers will most likely not visit, but take somewhere like Bubaque, an article you recently created. It has some information that is of use, particularly in the "Get in" section, but all of the listings in the sleep section of that article only have the name of the place and no more information — no directions, no phone number, no address, no web link, nothing. So how's a traveller going to book a room or even find the place? These things can easily be overlooked by those who know about the place but make the listings almost useless to travellers. Still, thanks for the contributions that you've made so far. Selfie City (talk) 18:27, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You should try using the listing tool in future, and you can always ask one of us for help. Selfie City (talk) 18:28, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not the only one who creates blank or stub articles around here. The difference is, mine get deleted and the others get a rubber stamp approval. Libertarianmoderate (talk) 21:00, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You're aggrieved because useless articles are getting deleted? And you wanted to be an admin? Maybe it's time for you to reconsider your motivations for editing here. If the interests of the traveler aren't uppermost in your mind, what is? Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:25, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Look, I just wish the rules were applied evenly. Ramadi is pretty much useless, even worse than my deleted articles, but for some reason, Ramadi stays and Bonfield gets deleted.
If there's another article that you think should be deleted, nominate it at vfd. If you think it should be merged, propose which article to merge it with on its talk page. If you think you can improve it and feel motivated to do so, improve it. But don't make this, pardon me for saying so, dumb argument that because another existing article which is not showing up in recent changes is even worse than a useless one you created, people are discriminating against you by proposing a merger or deletion of some of your new articles. Either you care about articles being useful to travelers and are motivated to help them be useful or you are not operating in the proper spirit for this site; simple as that, really. So I would strongly suggest you not waste further time with this kind of complaining. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:26, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
