Merge back to East Kalimantan?

Nusantara is only expected to open in 2024, but the article currently reads like it's already open. Given there's little information given by the Indonesian government, I think it's best to merge this back to East Kalimantan for now and then start the article in 2023 when there's a bit more information. Nusantara isn't "expected" in 2024, it's already "opened" since 2019, it's even officially serves as the national capital since 2021, the only thing that still under the construction is the parliament buildings, and that's what you referred as "expected". And by the way, it's even have its own legal constitution law and an official website that I already linked, kindly see the source before making any disruptive changes. I see I'm a bit behind on times and it was established earlier this year according to Wikipedia, it was established earlier this year. However, Wikipedia also claims "Construction of Nusantara started in July 2022, clearing land and laying down access roads, with construction of the first phase - Government Central Area zone, comprising government offices, schools, hospitals and shopping malls - beginning the following month.". There's next to nothing there yet, but I think it's worth kicking off since there's going to be a lot of people heading over to build it in the next few years. I've cut out all the ridiculous puffery though, and for the record, the capital remains firmly in Jakarta, all that was authorized was the plan to eventually move it. I've merged it back for now and would refrain from starting this article until the Indonesian government releases more information (which hopefully will be next year). Unless the info is confirmed, then I'd rather have no article for Nusantara (yet). Better to have no information than grossly misleading information. There will need to be some kind of disambiguation, because Nusantara is also a word for Indonesia in Indonesia and for the larger Malay Archipelago including the Philippines in Malaysia. See w:Nusantara (archipelago). Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:26, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Agree; in fact, until this year, Nusantara to me meant the larger Malay archipelago. But I suppose we should only disambiguate the page after the city has opened just to preserve the page history though who knows how long it'll take for the city to become the primary topic. I have added a short segment about the plans to move Indonesia's capital, but since there's nothing there yet except construction, we can't start a travel guide for it. When the government buildings, shopping malls and hotels get completed, then we can start the article. The dog2 (talk) 15:55, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Agree with The dog2. I will add that we do have an article of a place that is currently under construction but the difference is that article makes it very crisp and clear that it's not open and clearly outlines what will be there once the park opens.
