Talk:Ruili
Scope of article
[edit]I have removed a lot of text that shouldn't be in a Wikivoyage article.
- Wikivoyage is a travel guide, not an encyclopedia. It should give the reader an introduction to the city, and not provide data on size or administrative history.
- Information about the Kunming Airport and metro should be in the Kunming article, and not repeated here.
- We don't need to tell readers things that are obvious -- travellers understand that sleeper buses are convenient for travelling at night.
- Avoid repeating information.
Constructive Feedback
[edit]I believe the content on Ruili’s Wikivoyage page is quite comprehensive. The combination of text and images works very well, with maps and climate charts giving us clear insights into Ruili’s location and weather conditions. Various sections provide a broad overview of Ruili’s history, geography, economy, and culture, making the page well-rounded for readers. As a suggestion for improvement, I recommend adding more website links to enhance the page’s accuracy and engagement. Guoying1 (talk) 04:40, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
Evaluation of the Article
[edit]The layout and image placement in this article are very aesthetically pleasing, and the citations are highly accurate. The content accurately translates and presents background information and the definition of Asia-centrism, drawing on various academic sources to support the argument, which ensures the article’s comprehensiveness. The references are very thorough, and the overall structure is well-organized. As a suggestion, I believe the author could include perspectives from different scholars or theorists on Asia-centrism to enhance neutrality, and add specific case analyses to illustrate how Asia-centrism manifests in different cultural or historical contexts. - Did you mean to post this on Wikipedia? Otherwise, what are you talking about? Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:20, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- @WANGYIZHE1124: Really? (from gptzero) It's disrespectful to say the least, otherwise plain rude to let AI write on behalf of you. --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 08:48, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Jihaiyun: has not corrected the formatting errors that I identified on the article's talk page and on their talk page almost two weeks ago. I am sure that your professor will see through the obvious attempt to help out your friend. Ground Zero (talk) 09:04, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
