Hello, Guoying1! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

I reverted your edit to Wikivoyage:Quick park article template. Don't edit that page; copy the template to a blank page and create an article there. In case you need the edits you made, you can see them on the left side of this page. However, please read Wikivoyage:What is an article and see if this mountain really should have its own article, instead of being a listing in the article for the nearest town.

Let me know if you have any questions.

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:45, 23 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to the Yangjiang article. In English Wikivoyage, it is incorrect to add "Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, China" in the address field of listing. This listing is in the Yangjiang article, so the reader already knows that it is in Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, China. Please correct your mistake by removing this text. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 01:34, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Guoying1: please fix your errors. It is not the job of other volunteer editors to fix your errors. Ground Zero (talk) 04:18, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have changed, please check. 121.170.78.132 04:24, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for correcting this error in one place. Now please correct the same error in other places in the article. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 04:46, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
What other errors are there in the article? I will make positive changes. 121.170.78.132 04:49, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please remove "Yangjiang City" and "Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, China." from addresses in listings. Ground Zero (talk) 09:40, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Copy-pasting?

[edit]

User:Guoying1, can you please tell us where you got this text from? It sure looks like copyright violation, and it's definitely not in Wikivoyage style, with all those irregular section headers and gratuitous "big" html tags. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:48, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

I've deleted the Chinese section, so please let me know if you have any other questions. I'm going to make a positive change. 222.99.120.114 07:54, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
That doesn't address my question. Please click the link so you know which text I'm talking about. Also, please log in. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:58, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Do you think I shouldn't adjust the details? I'll keep adjusting. 222.99.120.114 08:06, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Huh? --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 08:48, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, I think you should not violate Wikivoyage:Copyleft by copying and pasting blocks of text from somewhere, include copy-pasted section headers we don't use in any Wikivoyage:Article skeleton templates or add totally unnecessary "big" html tags that you undoubtedly also copy-pasted. What I do think you need to do right away is delete everything you plagiarized from other sites. Thank you. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:26, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I didn't copy and paste the label, I edited it myself. I adjusted the content according to Ansan's Wikipedias subheading. I think it's a lot richer. 61.77.61.56 09:40, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
This isn't Wikipedia. Don't use Wikipedia section header titles, and don't copy and paste content from Wikipedia without crediting it in edit summaries or when it's not in Wikivoyage style. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:16, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I'll change it. 61.106.205.209 10:23, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also can you please log in? There's no other way to verify that these IPs are indeed you without logging in. --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 11:25, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries

[edit]

Hey there, I don't exactly have an issue with using non-English text in your edit summaries, but "内容" just translates to "content" which is meaningless and often gives a bad taste (since this is what vandals and long-term abusers use to hide their edits. Could you give better or more descriptive edit summaries in the future? --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 07:46, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I may not have a lot of editing experience yet, I will actively change it 222.99.120.114 07:52, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks; much appreciated. --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 07:56, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

What are you doing here?

[edit]

This edit. You know most of us can't read Chinese, right? Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:42, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry. I have changed it to English. I'm sorry Guoying1 (talk) 06:54, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's OK. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:31, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
If you do want to contribute to Wikivoyage in Chinese, zh: can definitely do with more volunteers. --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 13:05, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I got it. Thank you very much. Guoying1 (talk) 13:07, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Reverting your edits

[edit]

I have removed these edits

  1. If you are going to provide a website for a listing, it must be the official website for the site or the business. Do not link to TripAdvisor or news websites like Xinhua.
  2. Please remove "Yangjiang City" and "Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, China." from addresses in listings. I have explained this to you again and again.
  3. Use standard headings for subsections for the article. See Wikivoyage:Section headers.
  4. Write in English. It is useful to have the Chinese version of names and addresses in addition to the English version. But non-Chinese-speakers don't understand what you mean by "¥83/人".

Ground Zero (talk) 14:45, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, if there is anything wrong, can you inform me first? I will actively correct. But it took me an afternoon to make these edits. I don't think it's appropriate to delete them all Guoying1 (talk) 15:09, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Can you undo your deletion? I already know where my editorial problems are. I will actively change the original basis, but please do not delete all. Guoying1 (talk) 15:14, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have blocked you from editing because you keep making the same mistakes. I will remove the block now. You can "view history" at the top of the page, select a previous version of the article, and edit that one. If you put "Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, China" in addresses again, or ""Yangjiang City", I will block you from editing for a long time. Ground Zero (talk) 15:54, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Nyingchi

[edit]

Here are some corrections you should make to the article:

  1. In China articles, we always use the 24-hour clock (09:00-18:00), not the 12-hour clock (9AM-5PM). See the box at the top of Talk:China.
  2. Section headers should follow the same rules of capitalization as an ordinary sentence: capitalize the first word in the title, and any proper names. Everything else should be lower case. We write "Get around", not "Get Around". See Wikivoyage:Section headers.
  3. Do not use boldfacing in section headings.

Please make these changes. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 20:31, 23 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I have changed the problems you mentioned, please check. If there is anything that needs to be corrected, please let me know, and I will actively correct it Guoying1 (talk) 01:21, 24 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
