Please review my article.

[edit]

Hello. I'm a student of Hanyang university in Korea taking a course about 'Understanding of Small and Big Data with Wiki'.

I'd like to request you to review my article. Thank you. Parkjeongeun0430 (talk) 05:57, 18 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

In general, it was good because there was a lot of information. However, it would be good to add a little more public transportation or transportation information. Kang Taeho (talk) 06:06, 18 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Parkjeongeun0430: thank you for the improvements you have made to this article. Here are some ways you can make it better:

  1. In South Korea articles, we always use the 24-hour clock (09:00-18:00), not the 12-hour clock (9AM-5PM). See the box at the top of Talk:South Korea.
  2. We write prices as "¥1,000", not "1,000 won" or "1,000 KRW". Please make these changes. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. I accepted it and I guess you've meant ₩1,000 not ¥1,000. Parkjeongeun0430 (talk) 12:19, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Split North into East and West?

[edit]

It looks really weird to have this split into two unconnected parts. See File:Seoul districts png.png

Which districts are in the east part and which are in the north? @Parkjeongeun0430 Hanyangprofessor2 (talk) 07:39, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

How many listings would there be in each part if the division you propose were done? Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:08, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ikan Kekek For now, I think just splitting along the border into two parts (one for each "bubble/area", i.e. North East and North West) would be best. Hanyangprofessor2 (talk) 02:59, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Agree. I can split it into East and West. Then the page gonna be Seoul/Northern East because there are much information about East part on this page.
I have a question: Once I'll split it into East and West, should I create the article Seoul/Northern West page? Parkjeongeun0430 (talk) 12:24, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Parkjeongeun0430 Pretty much. But words North/East may be better than Northern/Eastern, I think.
And someone should then revise the map and the listings of districts in Seoul - you are welcome do to it for extra credit :D Hanyangprofessor2 (talk) 03:00, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
How about Seoul/Northeast and Seoul/Northwest? Isn't U.S. English the predominant type of English in South Korea? That's how we write those directions. But before anyone starts creating these new districts, again, about how many listings in total would there be in each of the new districts? Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:10, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Based on the map, there is almost nothing of note in the Northwest, but then I assume the listings here are fairly underdeveloped. I mean, is an outlying city like my Ansan can have several dozens of things to do see (granted, I spent a lot of effort scouring sources for even trivial monuments); I am pretty sure a district of Seoul should have a similar amount.
Side note: two pins are outside the map zones and probably should be moved to the corresponding article about their district (Seodaemun-Mapo). By the way, looking at the naming of other Seoul districts: we have quite a few of double districts (Seoul/Yeongdeungpo-Guro and like). If the Northeast and Northwest end up being a pairs of two district seach, maybe it would be better to just name them in this way (Seoul/DistrictA-DistrictB)? I don't know. Move any misplaced listings right away, though. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:19, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
