Merging pages from surrounding areas

[edit]

These pages:

contain only little information and only a small number of attractions. They are very close to Stirling, so would it make sense to merge them all into the Stirling page? Of course on the Stirling page, the entries would then need to contain more details where they are (i.e. in Stirling, or in one of the surrounding towns). 28 January 2015 (UTC) (added by 129.215.90.53 19:33, 28 January 2015)

I think there is enough information for them to stand on there own. --Traveler100 (talk) 19:45, 28 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
I created Bannockburn as a redirect about a year ago, because I found a red link. I would expect that this will always be a redirect. Lecropt was merged into Bridge of Allan long ago.
Bridge of Allan is close enough (walking distance) to Stirling to be merged, (but could be left as it is). Doune and Dunblane are further away and are probably best left separate - I wouldn't go for dinner in Dunblane if I was staying in Stirling. AlasdairW (talk) 23:16, 28 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Cave for Monty Python fans

[edit]

Cave of the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, actually a mine described as "just northwest of Killin, Stirling". Add it here? Pashley (talk) 18:58, 5 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

We don't have a page for Killin, but there is a page for Aberfeldy, near the other end of Loch Tay, 14 miles east. It is 45 miles from Stirling, so it doesn't belong here. Personally I wouldn't go looking for a location from a 40 year old TV series, but others might. AlasdairW (talk) 22:12, 5 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
