Talk:Treasure Coast
Merge info
[edit]These listings were to be merged from St. Lucie County. They belong in the appropriate city article, but do not contain that information. Texugo (talk) 11:54, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
- Exodus Coffeehouse hosts concerts, poetry readings, film screenings, and similar small-scale events nearly every night. Most performers are local (talent varies) but the entertainment is often excellent.
- The Pineapple Playhouse offers community theatre and the odd arts event.
- 22 Fisherman's Wharf offers excellent and inexpensive seafood dishes. Also worth a try is its chocolate-dipped-key-lime-pie-on-a-stick, which is almost a meal in its own right. It is located on the north side of the causeway that links Fort Pierce to Hutchinson Island, but look carefully--the building is rather unassuming from the street.
- Archie's is an oasis of friendly, raucous dining amidst the sedate condos of Hutchinson Island. The food is tasty, but the crowds really show up for the open-air bar, live music, and weekend motorcycle meet-ups.
Descriptions of bullet points that were in "Understand"
[edit]If any of these descriptions are better than the 1-liner listings in the "Cities" section, please merge or replace as appropriate:
- Port St. Lucie is the self-proclaimed capital of the region, as well as the largest city on the Treasure Coast.
- Fort Pierce. From its historic downtown to the beach life on Hutchinson Island, Fort Pierce has many fun activities to partake in.
- Vero Beach and Sebastian also emphasize the history of the region with little modernization in the cities.
Regions
[edit]Please note there is no need to break down a USA region to county level unless there are a lot of towns and villages with articles containing useful content (Wikioyage is not Wikipedia). As there are only 7 locations currently under Treasure Coast the extra level is just annoying to readers. Suggest it is left as is for a few days, in case pages are to be created otherwise create redirects back to this page on the county pages. Traveler100 (talk) 07:29, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
- I would agree - Indian River County, Martin County (Florida) and St. Lucie County were all previously made redirects to Treasure Coast. Is there a valid reason why that was changed? Unless someone can cite a reason for having county articles, I'd suggest restoring the redirects. @DAZ14LPA:? -- Ryan • (talk) • 07:34, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
- Already restored. Never knew that, would have been good to know, not blatantly listed in the Terms of Use, Rules, etc. (whatever they are). So please leave me alone about it. Donny (talk) 22:49, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
Help needed
[edit]The article is really coming along, but articles for Fellsmere and Hobe Sound still need to be created. Just saying. Donny (talk) 22:48, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
