Swap color 4 with color 9?[edit]

Hi Andree.sk, your StdColors are a great improvement for Wikivoyage. Helps a lot to get a uniform design in all articles.

Just a minor suggestion: Color 1 and 4 are quite similar. Wouldn't it be better to swap color 4 with color 9 for example? --Renek78 (talk) 19:42, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Renek78 :-) I don't think it's a problem, but we should check the template usages - in case someone already created a static map using these colors... -- andree.sk(talk) 07:49, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a script we can use to check? I used it for sure on some dynamic maps (e.g. São Paulo, Austin, West Coast Malaysia, ...).--Renek78 (talk) 13:18, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not aware of such script... the nearest thing to it is Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:StdColor - but 90% of the uses are probably created by my bot in the region articles :-/ Perhaps if we avoid the region articles, it should narrow down the list considerably. I'll think about it! :-) -- andree.sk(talk) 20:22, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Colors[edit]

Is there a possibility of more distinctive colors? I find the different shades of green to subtle. --Traveler100 (talk) 19:41, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is taken directly from the official wikivoyage template for creating maps, so you'd have to discuss it there first... I guess you have to take into account multiple issues, like color-blind users or print limitations. -- andree.sk(talk) 20:08, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Could you point me in the direction of the right page? --Traveler100 (talk) 06:42, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
