Nothing to see?[edit]

Hello, Andrepoiy! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

A question, though: If there's nothing to see in Breezewood, why do we want there to be an article about it? It seems like it fails the What is an article test. Unless you can give a very good reason for the article to exist, I'm likely to delete it very soon. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:29, 23 February 2020 (UTC).[reply]

@Ikan Kekek: Breezewood, PA, is notable because it just happens to be located where an Interstate becomes a surface street. Many people travelling on I-70, I-76, and the PA Turnpike go through here every day because they are forced to (those on the Turnpike cannot directly interchange with the free Interstate and vice versa and must go through Breezewood). Although there is nothing to see, there are many, many businesses that exist there as it serves as a "rest stop" for those travellers (there's plenty of food and lodging, 2 truck stops I believe, and a gift shop). In addition, there is something to do there, which is a hiking trail that used to be part of the Turnpike and features a few tunnels. I think it would be useful for travellers to see the listings of the businesses here. Andrepoiy (talk) 01:51, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely. Please list the businesses and the things to do. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:00, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for adding listings! One small matter, though: It might or might not be wise, but Wikivoyage's style is to list street addresses only and omit the name of the town and everything after that (state, zip), unless the listing is in a different town than the name of the article. Internal linking[edit]

Hi, and thanks for adding internal links to the Vaughan article, but I'd like to point out something: Markham, Ontario and Richmond Hill, Ontario red link. Do you know why? It's because Wikivoyage does not use that format in its naming conventions. Instead, there is a Markham article and a Richmond Hill (Ontario) article, which is best to link as [[Richmond Hill (Ontario)|Richmond Hill]]. Please take note of this, and thanks again!

All the best,

3.5 stars?[edit]

What system is that? If it's Yelp, TripAdvisor or some other user-rated system, we don't use it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:41, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just Google --23:48, 4 March 2023 (UTC)Andrepoiy (talk)

We don't use Google ratings, either. Numbers of stars need to be based on official categories. Please look at Rating systems#United States of America. Unless you are using a standardized system of stars such as AAA's, it would be best to remove all stars. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:32, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for letting me know. I had no idea there were different standards. I'll change them when I get the chance --Andrepoiy (talk) 00:42, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Thank you. Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:25, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
