Hello, Deckard Case! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

Thanks very much for your updates to Annapurna Circuit‎‎! Please note this edit and have a look at Wikivoyage:Pronouns if you like: "We" and personal accounts can't be used, as there is no clear reference and anyway, this is a collectively-authored site.

Thanks again, and please carry on!

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:10, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ikan, I would like to upload an image to the Annapurna Circuit page, but because I must use a VPN to access Wikimedia and upload it, I cannot (IP range of VPNs blocked). Can I send it to you somehow and you can upload it / add it to the Annapurna Circuit page? Deckard Case (talk) 10:29, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
This is an issue which you will need to deal with on Wikimedia Commons as we have no control over rangeblocks on that site. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 10:37, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I believe you can request it on your talk page, though. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 10:38, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
[Edit conflict] Are you blocked from using a VPN to upload to Commons but needing to upload an image there? If so, and if it's either a photo you shot or one you're sure is in the public domain, it's probably not the first time someone's needed to use one there, and I think there's a procedure for requesting permission to do so, maybe on C:Commons:Administrators' noticeboard. I can't login to Commons because my VPN is blocked. *facepalm*

I guess I need to e-mail the stewards again to allow me to create a Media Commons account, too? Deckard Case (talk) 10:59, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
In that case, you will need to request GIPBE on m:SRGP. You should still be able to log onto Meta. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 11:03, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
