User talk:Muktee1494
Welcome
[edit]Hello Muktee1494! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.
If you are a Wikipedian, then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:
- NPOV → be fair (not quite the same thing!)
- be bold → plunge forward
- Village pump → travellers' pub
- External links → We do not use a separate external links section, but incorporate primary links only into the text itself.
- sandbox → graffiti wall
- stub tagging → article status
It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the Wikivoyage:Travellers' pub, as a reply below or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing! Ibaman (talk) 18:27, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
Copyleft and goals
[edit]This edit is copied and pasted from Wikipedia without credit in an edit summary, in violation of Wikivoyage:Copyleft and Wikipedia's Creative Commons Copyleft license. It's also not in Wikivoyage style. I suggest you look at articles on the list of Category:Star articles, to see how they show climate. And by the way, per Wikivoyage:Small city article template, "Climate" is not a primary section header but a subsection of "Understand." Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:50, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- User:Muktee1494, is there a part of "read your user talk page" that's unclear? Stop adding "Climate." sections with uncredited copy-pasting from Wikipedia. We don't want to have to give you a brief block to get your attention. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:42, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- You're violating copyright again. You are therefore being blocked for an initial period of 3 days. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:33, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
- You're also violating the don't tout guidelines and didn't pay attention to my first message about "Climate" being a subsection of "Understand." That means you need to use 3 equals signs on either side of it. And don't add a period at the end of a subsection header. I hope you spend some time over the next 3 days reading the links I've given you and try harder when your block is over. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:39, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
- Not answering user talk pages is also disruptive behaviour. --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 12:06, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
- You haven't paid any attention to my remarks. You are therefore being blocked for an additional period of 2 weeks. Which part of my remarks did you not understand? Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:30, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- To restate: You are violating copyright, touting, using sections that are irregular, and at variance with basics of Wikivoyage style. You have to be able to understand what other users tell you, and if you don't, be able to ask relevant questions. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:34, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- Re: these edits: (1) "Oricon" is not an alternate name for "Oricon Suite." Alternate names are different names in a local language or former names. Most listings don't have one. (2) "Azare, Bauchi State" is default address information. Don't include it. (3) The URL shows it to be a hotel. It doesn't appear to be a recreational center. (4) Does it really have "activities that [serve] the needs of the people," or does it just provide service for hotel guests? (5) "It's one of the must popular and luxury hotel in Azare." is not really descriptive but reads as touting, even though that's not your intention. Have a look at Wikivoyage:Words to avoid. On the sports centre, why don't you provide some useful information about the home teams? Also, if it's a college's stadium, state that in the description, rather than as an alternate name. Let me know if you have any questions. Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:43, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, I left out the most important question: Why are these listed in the "Eat" section? Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:44, 13 August 2024 (UTC)

Blocked apologies.
[edit]I do try do avoid the mistakes you mentioned sir. But for this I found it very difficult. because I really worked hard by my self to make the contributions. If that is the case can please put me through to avoid violations please Muktee1494 (talk) 05:34, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- Read the links we've given you, then ask questions about any language you're not sure you understand. However, if you are having too much trouble reading the links to be able to formulate a question, I'm afraid you may not be able to edit this site. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:47, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
Please me understand more about Wikivoyage

Corrections.
[edit]it provide restaurant Muktee1494 (talk) 18:56, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- You're saying the hotel you listed in Azare#Eat has a restaurant. OK, but their site does not emphasize the restaurant. The basic guideline is, if a large percentage of the customers of a hotel restaurant (say, 50% or more) are not hotel guests and people dining with hotel guests, we list it separately in the "Eat" section. Otherwise, we just mention in their "Sleep" listing that the hotel has a restaurant and describe it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:40, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
Ok sir
[edit]ok sir Muktee1494 (talk) 19:42, 13 August 2024 (UTC)

Blocked
[edit]However, you will usually still be able to edit your user talk page while blocked.
Please note:
- In some cases, you may not be in fact blocked, your block has already expired, or you are being autoblocked. If blocked, you may want to consider appealing the block by responding below. If you clicked on a red link, and are seeing an error message, you have been blocked from editing pages.
Seems Ikan Kekek had to revert one of your edits for the same thing again and again as evidenced on Special:Diff/4922884. Your block is 3 months, but that can be shortened or appealed if you can promise to work with us instead of doing your own thing. --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 07:47, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
