Hello, Nin-5H! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

In Dumaguete, you changed the city population number from 2010 to 2015 census, but not the numbers for suburbs. Can you get those and put them in? Or let me know where to find them? Pashley (talk) 10:42, 11 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Found & added them. Pashley (talk) 15:34, 12 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Regions

[edit]

Would you care to comment Talk:Visayas#Negros_region.3F? I think it was you who made the changes I suggest reverting. Pashley (talk) 14:05, 4 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Language question

[edit]

At one point we had separate phrasebooks for "Bisaya" and "Cebuano". After discussion at Talk:Bisaya_phrasebook we turned the Bisaya page into a disambig page since there are actually several Visayan languages.

The old Bisaya page is preserved at Cebuano_phrasebook/Bisaya. Anything valuable in it should be merged into Cebuano_phrasebook, but I do not speak the language so I can neither recognize value nor do the merging. Can you? Pashley (talk) 01:10, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

OK! Although I'm not yet fluent in Sugboanon (Cebuano) and I still need to learn more, I'll still help anyway. - Aki (talk · contributions) 12:12, June 12 2017 (UTC).

The questions at Talk:Central Visayas look as though some comment from a Filipino would be interesting. Pashley (talk) 23:03, 2 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Talk page deletions

[edit]

Normal policy here is to not delete talk page comments except spam, obscenities, etc. In the case of your recent deletions at Talk:Negros, I don't mind you taking out your own comment, which I thought was over-the-top & which you later apologized for. Others might, but I doubt it.

However, you also took out some of mine & I do object to that. Pashley (talk) 02:51, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Pashley: Sorry. I was on a rush. Next time, I must be careful in removing paragraphs, especially if it isn't mine. I understand. Aki, 23 September 2017, 22:15 (UTC)

Roll back

[edit]

I just reversed one of your edits. "two provinces each with part of Negros" is correct. "twin provinces each with half" is not; they are not twins in any meaningful sense & the division is not 50-50, 7.8 square km for Occidental but 5.4 for Oriental. Pashley (talk) 15:51, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

I rolled this back again. Please stop claiming they are halves. Pashley (talk) 00:04, 5 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
I understand, but I changed "each of which consists of part of" into "each of which consists a part of " for grammatical correction. FYI, for the provinces' respective areas, it's 7,965.21 km2 for Negros Occidental and 5,385.53 km2 for Negros Oriental. It's not million. Hope it helps and no ill wills. Happy Cinco De Noviembre! (Nov. 05 is the Negrense version of the American Jul. 04) - Aki, 17:44 (UTC), 05 November 2017.
If I may: "each of which consists a part of" is not grammatical. Is that a typo? Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:44, 5 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Ikan Kekek: Sorry, I feel kinda fidgety trying to edit it. I happened to be an occasional but strict grammar nazi when it comes to edits. I'm trying to expand and refurbish the Negros page in the near future, because for now, I have other things to do. Just accept my apologies for the shortcomings and feel free to post messages politely. Thank You. - Aki, 22:15 (UTC), 05 November 2017.
You owe me no apology, nor do I think I owe you one. I consider it unfortunate if you think I was impolite. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:48, 5 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
No, you weren't being impolite nor it was an unfortunate one. Everything's fine and understood very well. I just need extra caution when doing edits, that's all. - Aki, 23:11 (UTC), 06 November 2017.
Don't worry about making mistakes - of course, all of us do. Your work is much appreciated. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:05, 9 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
