Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Tonymetz! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. Gizza (roam) 04:24, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Some editing guidelines

[edit]

Hi, Tonymetz, and thanks for your edits to the Washougal‎‎ article! However, please look at the don't tout guidelines ("FEAR NOT! We're crafting something delightful for you." is not OK in the content tab of a listing, and by the way, if it's copied and pasted from a promotional website, it would also run afoul of Wikivoyage:Copyleft), avoid using ALL CAPS, and exclude default address info (the name of the town if it's the same as the article title, the state, and the zip code) from the "address" tab of listings. Please let us know if you have any questions after you've read the links I've given you, and thanks again.

All the best,

No, no citations, except that sources should be credited in edit summaries you type in the "Summary:" box below your edit screen, but it is simply prohibited to copy text from non-Copyleft sites per Wikivoyage:Copyleft, in addition to the don't tout issues in copying promotional text. What does Limitless America sell? Right now, the listing for them is seemingly purely promotional, because it SHOUTS but provides no information. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:17, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
