I don't support the existence of this page

There was also the American Football League, which merged with the NFL in the 1970. But why do we need a disambiguation to cover a defunct sports league? I don't understand the reason for this disambig page, which covers no destinations. Ikan Kekek (talk) 15:54, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

This does look like new territory. Don't think we have had any disambiguation pages where one of the articles was not a destination until this one. This could open the floodgates to hundreds of more acronym-based diambiguation pages. Gizza ^(roam) 07:51, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
