Talk:Camping food
I don't like to be pessimistic, but is this really an article that we can turn into a valid travel topic, while avoiding too much Captain Obvious advice? What will it be other than a list of food you may pack? The remarks that water is not only needed to drink but also to cook, and that you can't carry a lot of water when you're on foot seem far too obvious to me. - There is a lot of non-trivial information to write about supplies for long expeditions; such as freeze-dried food, dried food, and do-it-yourself food preparation. /Yvwv (talk) 21:31, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
Another food to list?
[edit]Article name?
[edit]Would camping food or outdoor food be a more descriptive name? What is the proper term? /Yvwv (talk) 15:35, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
- I think "Packed food" is an unclear name, so I'm glad this discussion is happening. Assuming that I understand the topic of the article correctly, I might suggest Camping food (see w:Camping food) or Food for backpacking trips. —Granger (talk · contribs) 16:59, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
- Either of Granger's suggestions would be better than "packed food". ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 21:18, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
