Time to divide?

[edit]

There are now 19 blue-linked cities in this region. That's a lot of cities to contain in one region. Should the district be subdivided? If so, how? Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:56, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

What do you think 2607:f470:6:5001:6d24:9415:8c8b:9068, User:Eco84, AndreCarrotflower, Powers and Imegj, if you're still reading? Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:22, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
I have no local expertise on this region. However, in general, while I think an overabundance of bluelinked cities is an indicator that subdivision may be necessary, that by itself does not IMO suffice as a rationale. If it were up to me, I'd leave it as is, though if the other sections of the article were filled out with well-developed information, I might be open to changing my mind. -- AndreCarrotflower (talk) 02:30, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I made one day trip to Champaign-Urbana in 1988 to try out for the Master of Music program at University of Illinois (I was accepted but went to Stony Brook instead). That's the limit of my personal knowledge of this region. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:45, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Has anyone noticed that the borders in this article's map don't remotely match the borders in the map at Illinois? —Granger (talk · contribs) 02:51, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Good catch! Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:14, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am proposing to merge four of the cities into a county article. Please see Talk:Iroquois County. Ground Zero (talk) 19:02, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
