Talk:Dili
This article was the Collaboration of the week between 20 Jun 2006 and 26 Jun 2006. |
A lot of this article was written in 2006, at a time when there was public disorder and the dangers were much higher than today. Dili has changed a lot since that time and help is needed to update it to the present situation. 111.92.178.246 10:31, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Please plunge forward and start the process. Dili is not served well by our current guide. --Inas (talk) 10:42, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
Map
[edit]Hi, everyone. That map of Dili looks nice and clear, but I think we ought not to use the Indonesian-language name for the strait on its shore, Selat Ombai. Instead, we should be using either a Portuguese name or perhaps a Tetum name (which I'm guessing doesn't include "Selat"). Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:32, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Guide?
[edit]This is now rated Usable. If it were Guide it would be a fine candidate for an Off the Beaten Path featured article. It looks close to me. What would it take to get it there?
There are a few places where it seems to me it could have better wording; nothing major, under an hour's work for a proofreader. One cracks me up; "The Leader supermarket has lots of western treats, including chocolate and toilet paper."
I also notice a few "as of 2016" or similar & that makes we wonder if listings are up-to-date. Pashley (talk) 12:29, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- A considerable amount of work is needed, as many listings lack descriptions. Could be a good candidate for informative status tho. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 12:40, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
